A Filipina has been arrested upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport after 5.3 kilograms of cocaine has been allegedly discovered concealed in her shoes, bag and folder, a report by The Sun Hong Kong posted on Facebook.
According to Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, RMA, 28, arrived in Hong Kong from Cebu on Feb. 7 when the illegal substances, reportedly worth HK$5.5 million, were detected in her posession. Upon arrival, she reportedly introduced herself as a businesswoman.
Conflicting reports reveal that the suspect flew from Manila before she boarded a flight to Hong Kong.
Argamaso is facing charges of drug trafficking in a local court. She was remanded in custody and was scheduled to hear her case in court on April 15.
