
A Filipino worker based in Padua, Italy has been stabbed to death reportedly by a fellow Filipino in a fit of jealousy last Thursday.
The victim, Walter Crispin Sahagun, 51, has been challenging the suspect, Melvil Arca 36, on social media on suspicion that the latter has an affair with the former’s ex-live-in partner.
The body of the victim was found in a parking lot with stab wounds over his arms, legs and face, in a report by ABS-CBN News.
Authorities managed to collar the suspect with the help from witnesses.
Two katanas, a variety of a Japanese sword, an air pistol, a backpack containing money, passport and jewelry were found in the car used by the victim.
A compressed air pistol and backpack with money, jewelry and passport were also recovered in the victim’s vehicle.
A child of the victim declined to issue a statement upon prompting from authorities, and left the case for authorities to investigate.
