11 Recruitment Agencies Guilty of Recruitment of OFWs for Kuwait; 5 POEA Staff Charged

Licenses of ten Philippine recruitment agencies that deploy Filipino workers in Kuwait have been cancelled or and another one was suspended after they were found guilty of recruitment violations.

The findings came after a number of unexplained among overseas Filipino workers based in Kuwait. Secretary Silvestre Bello III of the Department of Labor ordered the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to conduct an investigation and came out with the following findings:

1. Al Bayan International Manpower Services Co.

  • Cancellation of license
  • 8 months suspension of license

2. Bumiputra Gulf Company Inc.

  • Cancellation of license

3. Gold Fortune Human Resources Corp.

  • Cancellation of license
  • 4 months suspension of license

4. LFC International Human Resources

  • Cancellation of license
  • Reprimand

5. Aisis International Manpower Incorporated

  • Cancellation of license

6. Great World International Management Inc.

  • Cancellation of license

7. GlobalGate International Manpower Services Inc.

  • Cancellation of license
  • 4 months suspension of license

8. MMML Recruitment Services Inc

  • Cancellation of license

9. NRS Placement Inc.

  • 4 months suspension of license
  • Reprimand

10. SML Human Resources Inc

  • Cancellation of license

11. Best Migrant Workers International Manpower Services Inc

  • Cancellation of license
  • 8 months suspension of license

In addition, five POEA personnel have been charged with cases for negligent and anomalous actions.

1. Florence Medina – BMPD Main and BM SM Manila
2. Jerome Sousa – BM SM Manila
3. Gretchen Casilang – BM SM Pampanga
4. Renegold Macarulay – POEA Zamboanga
5. Rosalina Rosales – BM Trinoma
