A Filipina pimp along with five Filipina and one Nepalese prostitutes were taken into custody after a raid was conducted in an apartment in Kuwait, a report by Arab Times said.
The arrests came as operatives of the Ministry of Interior’s Residence Affairs Department received a tipoff about a Filipina running a prostitution den. According to the source, the Filipina pimp allegedly promoted the flesh business using social media website.
Acting on received information and armed with search and arrest warrants issued by the Public Prosecution, police raided the apartment and arrested the women. All the arrested are holding Visa No. 20 or for domestic servants except one who is under Article 18 or for private sector employee.
They have been handed over to the concerned authorities. The Interior Ministry will also initiate legal action against the sponsors.
