The Department of Justice (DoJ) has today ordered the dismissal of the case filed against Filipino domestic worker Gloria Ortinez.
According to Susan Ople, head of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center, the DoJ junked the illegal possession of ammunition against Ortinez after a bullet was found in her luggage while it was being screened at the Terminal 2 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport on October 25.
“Good news! DoJ has ordered the dismissal of the case versus Nanay Gloria. Salamat, Lord!” Ople told Hong Kong News.
Ople also thanked Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz for “interceding” on behalf of Ortinez.
