Travelers flying to the Philippines between November 16 to 20 were advised to take the Clark International Airport as their point of arrival or departure for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ forum.
This is because the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will be closed during certain hours of the said dates for the arrival or departure of heads of states during the same period, Recruitment Expert Emmanuel Geslani said.
He added that Clark International Airport is not affected by the delays or cancellations of flights so overseas Filipino workers and other travelers should take their flights home or depart from Clark during the APEC meeting on November, Geslani said.
Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have already cancelled hundreds of domestic and regional flights on those days at NAIA terminals which will be used exclusively for the heads of states including US President Barrack Obama, Russian President Vlamidir Putin, and other diplomats from the APEC bloc.
